FAQs

How many people are included on the team?

Our partner in Ghana, NEA, can accommodate a maximum team size of 45 people.

Who reviews the applications and selects the team members?

A selection committee headed by Dr. Jennifer Wilson reviews all applications, and makes the final decisions about team composition.

How do people get selected to be a part of the team?

We build each team based on the critical health needs that NEA has identified.  We start by determining the number of physicians available and needed, which enables us to then assess how many nurses, pharmacists and other personnel are needed.  Spaces for dentists and eye specialists are also reserved.

I’m not a medical professional.  Can I still apply?

We encourage you to apply if you are interested.  Occasionally a non-medical volunteer opportunity may become available for a team.
